Technology in Prevention Blog

I came across the Technology in Prevention blog recently. It is hosted by LaDonna Coy, who is interested in virtual learning and social media focusing on using Web 2.0 technologies for prevention and social change.

Those of you interested in technology's use in prevention should take a look at Ladonna's first post, from December 2005, that addresses issues related to integrating technology into the work of prevention:

I am delighted that you were able to find value in my blog entry and am honored that you did a posting on it, thank you. I am intrigued with your discussion of UDL and would like to know more ... particularly as it relates to adult learners? I haven't read the entire listing of topics, (but will) perhaps you've written about it before? If not, I'd be interested in what you have to say on this application.

Ladonna,

If you do a search about UDL on my blog, you'll find related posts. The CAST website is the best place to start. In adult education, UDL is often known as UDI- Universal Design for Instruction. I might have some links to UDI resources on my Mega-List of References and Resources post. The University of Washington DO-IT Center has some information about UDI , too.
